Biography

Elizabeth Kurkowski is a junior at WSU, and is currently double majoring in biological sciences and public health, with a co-degree in University Honors as well as a minor in business. She plans on going to graduate school after she graduates to obtain an MBA in health care administration in the hopes of becoming the manager or director of a hospital. She is a current member of the Irvin D. Reid Honors College, as well as a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the International Dean's List Society. She loves children and inspiring others, which can be shown through her participation in the Detroit Fellows Tutoring Project (tutoring DPS second grade children in reading), WSU Medical School-sponsored panels (answering questions and giving advice about college), WSU SAT Boot Camp (tutoring high school kids in SAT test-taking skills) and her favorite organization that she participates in, WSU Go-Girl (a program that mentors middle school girls in STEM careers). Outside of these activities, she loves working out at the rec center and attending kickboxing and yoga classes. All the praise goes to God and her family for the continuous love and support throughout college.
