Biography

Maurgan is a grad student in the Basic Medical Sciences Program. She is passionate about medicine and serving underrepresented populations. She currently works as a researcher on two different projects; in the department of Pharmacology and Environmental Health and in a Public Health project at Wayne State School of Medicine. She serves her community by volunteering with Future Docs for Tomorrow: SINORMS Summer Academy, Navigator, serving as a leader in the youth ministry at her church, and volunteering with the elderly and mentally impaired at a local nursing home.
