Biography

Shawntay is a senior majoring in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish. Originally from Kalamazoo, she has been highly involved in reporting for news outlets throughout Michigan. She is a long-time member and peer mentor of the Journalism Institute for Media Diversity. She applied her skills nationally as a 2024 student reporter for the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
